Pleating Terms & Conditions
- Minimum order of fabric pleating is one roll.
- On occasion we may take photos of pleated fabric for use in our social media marketing. If you would prefer us not to then let us know.
- For a same day service, the fabric must arrive in the factory before 10 am. We open at 9:00 am. If it arrives after 10 am we will have the order ready the following day by 3pm. For large orders is may take longer to process so please contact us beforehand.
- Pleating is an artisan hand craft and as such irregularities within the pleat may occur. We will endeavour to keep these to a minimum.
- If the pleating is not paid for within one month of completion, we reserve the right to resell your fabric to recoup the costs of the pleating.
- We strongly advise that all pleating is unpacked and checked immediately. We always endeavour to complete your order correctly and to your satisfaction. If there is an error or defect, then please contact us within three days of receipt.
- No liability can be accepted for the loss of your fabric during transit. This loss must be taken up with the courier company. If you require insurance, then please let us know before we ship your order.
- The Fabrics you can buy it from our Factory or you can provide it from your side according to the customer's desire.
- Most natural fabrics such as wool or silk will pleat perfectly well, but care has to be taken in cleaning and wearing. Specialist dry cleaning is recommended. Cotton and Linen will pleat but tends to crease easily. 100% polyester fabrics are best for pleating and can normally be washed at a low temperature and still hold a pleat.
- All prices are approximate and are subject to alteration for unusual fabrics. All possible care is taken in processing, but no responsibility can be taken for shrinkage and colour change.
- Payment can be bank transfer or cash.

- Fabric Pleating is the art of folding fabric into different shapes creating differences in volume and texture.
- To do fabric pleating, you first need a pattern or mould. Patterns are made up of two pieces of card that are folded identically so that they can fit together. Most moulds also have a wrapper on the outside to protect the pattern during the heating process.
- To do fabric pleating, you first need to separate the two pieces of card and flatten one on a table. You then lay your fabric on top of the card and cover the fabric with the top part of the pattern.
- Once you have the fabric in between the two pieces of card the pattern needs to be folded in to shape and rolled up tight. It is then placed in a steam cabinet to heat set the fabric in to the required shape.
- After the pattern has cooled down sufficiently the fabric can be removed and it should now maintain the shape of the pattern used to pleat it.

It was specially made for her in Damascus from felt and Jacquard, At that time its use was limited to kings and the rich.
